They are organized, efficient, seemingly take pride in their work and want to offer you their best. Lisa and Christopher are FANTASTIC! They are both incredibly talented and skilled with great attention to detail. I've worked with both of them on various projects for my business and family life and highly, highly recommend them!!
Excellent service and exceptional care of our photographs. I appreciated the excellent advice of packing photos for shipment, and the care in which they were shipped back. Highly recommend!
I couldn't believe how easy it was to have my photos digitized!
Lisa was so helpful and respectful during our mother's final days here on earth. She gave us specific ways to preserve our mother's legacy in digital format. All of the things Lisa did for our family during a very emotional time were outstanding.

All film and audio reels are carefully cleaned before digitizing to ensure the best image quality.
Reels containing mold or other contaminants that require additional cleaning, repair, or special services are subject to a surcharge, which starts at $0.10 / foot.
Note: Due to the flammable nature and associated risks of nitrate film, we do not digitize or permit the material in our facility.
* Note: Double-sided audio formats will be invoiced as two separate items if there is content on both sides. You will have the option of separate A/B side files or a continuous recording – or both options for a total of three delivered files for one double-sided item.

The quality of video tapes degrades by 10-20% every decade.

The first known photograph was created by Joseph Nicéphore Niépce of France in 1826 using a pewter plate coated with bitumen of Judea - a natural form of asphalt! The exposure time was approximately eight hours.

Kodachrome film was first introduced by Kodak in 1935 as movie film and in 1936 for still cameras. The last roll of Kodachrome was processed on January 18, 2011 at Dwayne's Photo in Parsons, Kansas for National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry. It also inspired the 2017 movie, "Kodachrome".

No. Due to the flammable nature and risks associated with nitrate film, we do not digitize or permit the material in our facility.

No, it is not a requirement. We maintain the physical organization of the media we receive and use that same structure as a reference for the digitized files we deliver. We'll discuss your project preferences and any goals you have for using your photos/videos during your project appointment.
Basic customizations to file names are included in standard digitizing. Here are a few examples of what that might include:
Items received without physical organization will be digitized at the same high quality and delivered with a basic naming structure, typically including the client last name and sequence number, such as SMITH_001.
Many options for additional customization of file naming and structure are available based on how a client wants to use their photos/videos and files. Special pricing may apply.
Tip: Do not allow perfection to keep you from progress! It is far better to ensure your memories are preserved than to over-organize or never start.
It depends! Let's talk about it first. Each project is customized based on client needs and preferences.
Start by submitting your project form so we have details about your project and what items are to be digitized. Request a call and we'll contact you before your project appointment to discuss the age, condition, and contents of your albums/scrapbooks and what preparation is needed for digitizing. It's very important to us that we understand your goals for using your photos as this will impact our work and process.
Especially for albums containing pockets of loose photos, consider: Do you want the photos to be returned to the album after digitizing? Would you prefer they be stored in archival photo boxes after digitizing? Do you have other preferences? These questions are essential to discuss before we start your project in order to customize the digitizing plan for your materials.
Still have questions? Contact us.
You'll receive an email with specific packing and shipping instructions to ensure your items are safely packaged to limit risk of damage in transit. Tracking is always required so you and we know when to expect delivery.
Video tape pricing policies:
If tapes contain a mix of personal and copyrighted material, only the personal content will be delivered and full price will apply. A surcharge may apply if the sections are scattered throughout the tape, requiring multiple files / splicing.
Material protected by copyright, including movies, TV shows, and music collections will not be digitized.
Questions? Contact us.
Yes, of course! Though we have had some clients say they prefer to only keep the digitized files, so you'll be asked on the project form if you want your items returned to you.
If you bring your items to our office in Tulsa, you'll schedule a pick up appointment when your project is complete.
If you ship your items to us, return shipping will be added to your final invoice along with tracking information.
It depends on the size and scope of your project and what's in the queue ahead of you. Some projects are a single video tape, others include thousands of items and a dozen media sizes and formats! That said, we always ask if you have a specific deadline so that you have your digitized files when you need them.
A link to your files will be emailed shortly after your payment is received upon project completion.
Rush service is available. Please contact us so we can we can discuss your project and timeline.
We aim to keep our pricing simple and transparent, so that you can easily multiply the number of items you have by the listed price for a general estimate of your project total.
Our services are also bespoke, customizing the finished product for each client. If your project will require special handling or additional services that will impact the cost, we will discuss that in detail, along with an estimate, during your project appointment.

We were searching for a one-stop shop to get a couple projects digitized, and that's when we came across Narrative Structure. We brought over 250 floppy disks to Lisa and Christopher, and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. They handled our project with precision and quality, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Highly recommend!
