Tulsa and the Consolidated B-24 Liberator have a long history together. Of the 18,188 built, just over 960 of them were produced in Tulsa at the Douglas plant.
When it was announced Diamond Lil and friends were making a stop at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum, the idea for the shoot came together quickly.
With the help of a local AT-6 pilot that flew the photoship for Christopher these shots were produced.
Framed and matted prints of B-24 Diamond Lil over Tulsa are exclusively available in the museum store at Tulsa Air and Space Museum with all proceeds benefitting their work of preserving and sharing Oklahoma’s aviation stories.
